What is SEO and why it is important for your Spa
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) is fundamental in every sales and marketing strategy. In this post, I will outline what SEO means and subsequently I will show the importance of SEO for the wellness industry.
What does SEO means?
The aim is to increase traffic and sales on your website. Ideally, the objective of every company is to rank high in the organic search results. Organic search results rank higher not because a website or a company paid for a prime position, but because of the trust and reputation gained over time.
Importance of SEO ranking for Spas and Wellness centres
As explained above, it is important for companies to rank highly in search engine result pages in order to gain more traffic to their websites. In order to do so, the first step is to get to know your audience and what they are interested in. The nest step will be to take care of the content of the website. It is fundamental to know which words are the most searched by the audience in your sector and what customers are looking for and are interested in.
Conclusion
SEO is very important for every business that wants to rank high in organic search results and increase traffic and sales on the website. There are multiple strategies in order to do so and they are all centred on knowing your audience, their needs, and gaining their trust.

I’m planning to open a SPA in the middle of the spring and I’ve been reviewing how I can promote my small business in a digital way, since today our lives are based on social media and Google.
It’s interesting that my website can be ranked in the top list of Google. For sure it would help me to increase traffic and sales on my website.
Now I know how I should start to work with SEO, the really first step is understanding who my audience is and how I can grab their attention to visit my SPA.
I’ll start with this first step and I’m looking forward to reading your next posts!
Thanks,
Natália
Thank you for your article Paola!
ReplyDeleteSEO is something not many small business use to its full potential I think. Maybe they're daunted by the whole idea or maybe they're just not sure where and how to start. In the case of Spas, it would really prove a vital asset for them. It would be good if they could link in with known suppliers and get some of their domain authority to also help boost their own ranking. I know of a business that only used SEM to promote themselves and assumed that it would improve their SEO. They lost a lot of money.
Great read!
Thank you for posting.

I totally agree about Spas and Wellness centers need to create content on their website that create engagement and answer to the customers' questions. This will help me to understand the customer behavior. I have to say that this is one of the main challenges of my business. Definitely I will try to apply this concept on my business.
