The positive impact of Social Media in Yoga classes
Social media has become an effective way for yoga teachers to share their expertise and passion with the community. Furthermore, It is a unique way to increase brand awareness, grow your followers, and drive more people into your yoga business.
In this article, I will discuss the best yoga marketing strategies that you can implement through social media and reach more yoga students.
It’s important to consider that Yoga classes have been gaining immense popularity, making this practice a global phenomenon. By 2025, the market size of the yoga studios is predicted to reach an amount of $215,811 million approximately. Moreover, the disruption of normality because of Covid19 is also pushing people to practice yoga during the pandemic.
As with any marketing plan, it is critical that you define your goals from the start when looking at social media. For example: Are you aiming to create awareness around your brand on social media? Do you want more traffic on your website? Do you want more followers on Instagram or another social media platform?
You can simply empower your presence in this field through a marketing strategy in social media.
The Marketing strategy is composed by:
Understanding Your Client Base
You need to define what is the audience you want to reach, in order to understand their behaviour, what they like and follow, and use this information in your posts, videos, and comments to grab their attention.
Picking the Right Social Media Platform
Facebook is a more personal type of social platform where people mainly engage with other people with similar interests. Here users share their personal opinions, talk about their life, and post photographs with friends and families. Facebook can be useful to market your yoga classes, as yoga itself is a very personal practice. You can search for groups that are specifically interested in yoga lessons and start building your presence there.
Instagram is all about creating amazing visual posts. Hence here you can post about your yoga classes with nice pictures and visual designs. You can also post some motivational quotes to inspire your clients and to grab their attention.
Twitter ignites discussions and conversations. For your yoga studio, you can post many concepts related to yoga and spark interesting debates. As more people start to participate under your comment box, then the more access you will gain with the domain.
I’d say that it’s recommended to start with two social media platforms at a time, if you are completely new to this.
Planning the Content
To make yourself believable and approachable you need to open your business page and invite people to join in. It’s important that your posts are short and are quick to read. Live sessions, online classes, and webinars are great ways to grab your audience's attention.
Schedule Posting on social media
Time is relative. However, it is important to know when your target audience is checking their news feed on social media. Different platforms of social media have different user purposes. Hence the crowd hours are different for each of these platforms.
Calculate Your Costs on Social Media
Your social media post campaign needs to be affordable, but also, efficient. If you cannot afford sponsored social media posts, consider reaching out to a “micro-influencer.” Micro-influencers are those who have a significant, but not massive following and are likely to have a high level of social media engagement. They may also be more likely to be interested in trading services with your yoga classes, versus cash payments.
Creating a social media marketing strategy for your yoga class requires dedication and hard work. It’s important to understand for getting brand awareness and people’s engagement in your social media like comments, likes and share your content with other people is a a daily work which is built gradually

ReplyDeleteAmazing post !
ReplyDeleteI really liked your post!
ReplyDeleteGreat steps on how to social media marketing strategy Natalia!
ReplyDeleteGood tips on the different applications of different social media. I remember a few years ago businesses believed they had to be on all social channels. Imagine the time and cost of running all of them. Luckily they now know that quality is better than quantity. Please want to see regularly updated pages that relate to the business and where their audience is rather than various pages that have nothing on them.
Content plays a vital role in actually engaging with your audience like you mentioned, not everything has to cost money, business should know what do in house and what to outsource. Lower cost means better ROI.
Thanks for sharing,

ReplyDeleteThank you for sharing these tips about Social Media Marketing. They can be very valuable when used correctly. I think for any new business, starting their positioning on Social Media can be a challenge and requires hard work. As we can see everyday new companies are creating strategies and innovating in the way they reach their target, that makes the competition even harder. But the tips you mentioned like the use of Influencers can be a cheap way to pass through the competition and create a closer relationship with a segmented target. This can definitely smooth the challenge and make things easier for starters.
