During the Covid 19 pandemic we realised the importance of supporting small and local businesses as they were the ones suffering the most because of the public health restrictions. We saw many businesses reinventing themselves and approaching the world of digital marketing as a form of advertising themselves when they were forced to close.
A fundamental tool for them in order to understand the success of their campaigns and to monitor the traffic on their websites is through and efficient and clever use of Google Analytics.

Social media marketing strategy are fundamental for small businesses especially in this particular historical period. However, we know that marketing specialists and marketing campaigns are particularly expensive and can the cost can be burdensome especially for a small business reality. Therefore the business will be able to develop a more precise and targeted social media strategy, using exclusively the channels were most of its users are gathering.

It is important foe a small business to improve its search engine ranking and so to improve their visibility. Google Analytics can help a business to understand which elements are leading the audience to its website. An example could be the clever use of keywords incorporated in the URLs of the website. Google Analytics can show you how a potential costumer phrase their query and therefore which specific words is using and how this words helped them to land on the website. The more precise the keywords used by the business the higher the website will rank on the search engines.

These are only few of the benefits of using Google Analytics for small businesses. Very business owner should become familiar and try to master this tool in order to improve its online presence. Google Analytics can be daunting at first but it was created to be as user friendly as possible and therefore it needs only a little bit of time and patience to fully understand its potential.

I’ve been investing a lot of time and money to advertise my service in all social medias, and I haven’t had any positive impact on it. According to your article, it’s possible through Google Analytics to target the right social media channel, that’s helpful. I'm impressed to know how Google Analytics can help to convert followers form my company's Instagram page into visits on the website and consequently optimize the conversion of visitors into sales. I confess that I have never thought about the 'bouncing' and how this could affect the conversion in my web page.
As a small business owner, now I will focus on analysing better the data generated from my Google Analytics to understand how I will convert more visitors into customers.

Great points Paola. Managing bounce is pretty important for a website, especially when it relates to SEO. Imagine you searching for something and being shown a webpage that has nothing to do with that, you'd leave straight away. Business should really make sure their content relates to their industry.
