  1. Very interesting your post Rafael, it is impressive to know the amount of information we as consumers deliver to companies everyday and how this information help them to shape their services and create new products to serve our necessities. As a gym lover I use an Appel watch to help me track my progress in the gym, but I confess that I did not have an idea of how much of personal information I am delivering to this company daily. It is a bit scary as well to know that companies like Apple, Google, Amazon and many others that use Big Data are constantly analysing our data intending to create new products and convince us to buy them.

Hope to see more from your writings here.
Thank you and have a good day!

  2. Hi Rafael,

Thanks for your useful article. I completely agree with you regarding the impact and growing influence of big data in the wellness industry.

The devices such as smartwatches, fitness apps, and trackers are becoming more popular in our day-to-day routines, and it’s incredible the valuable data in real-time which are being delivered by them.
I’m having a great experience with my current gym. They offer me an app which track all my physical activities and from the data they are offering me customised workout plan and my dietician can consider the data to plan my diet.
    I really appreciate your consideration.

Imagine all the possibilities that big data will enable businesses to achieve; more personalised marketing strategies, more effective marketing possibilities and most important of all being customer focused.
I wonder what the future will hold for big data and to what extent will all this connectivity between devices reach, especially with 5G making the internet even faster. I personally can't wait to see the future development of new smart technology and how they will change and improve our lives.
